How We Pick Our Baseball Tips

Our MLB analysts follow a data-driven process to identify value bets across moneyline, run line, and totals markets every game day.

1

Starting Pitcher Analysis

Starting pitching drives our process. We evaluate ERA, WHIP, K/BB ratio, recent form, and how each pitcher performs against the opposing lineup.

2

Lineup & Park Factors

We factor in confirmed lineups, platoon matchups (lefty vs righty), and how each ballpark affects scoring, home runs, and run production.

3

Odds Comparison

We compare moneyline, run line, and totals odds across all major bookmakers to find the best available prices and value opportunities.

4

Expert Review

Every tip is reviewed by at least two analysts before publication, with bullpen depth, weather, and travel schedules also considered.

Baseball Betting Markets Explained

Understanding the main baseball betting markets will help you make smarter picks and find better value across the MLB schedule.

Moneyline

The simplest baseball bet — pick which team will win the game outright. No point spread involved, just straight win or lose.

Run Line

Baseball’s version of the point spread, typically set at -1.5/+1.5 runs. Favoured teams must win by 2+ runs; underdogs can lose by 1 and still cover.

Over/Under Runs

Bet on whether the total combined runs scored by both teams will be over or under the bookmaker’s set line, usually between 7 and 10.5.

Player Props

Bet on individual player performance — strikeouts, hits, home runs, or RBIs. A great market when you’ve identified a strong matchup advantage.

Baseball Betting Tips FAQ

Our analysts evaluate starting pitchers, lineup matchups, park factors, bullpen depth, and recent form. Every tip undergoes a multi-step review before publication. We only publish picks where we've identified genuine value against the bookmaker's odds.
Starting pitchers have an outsized influence on game outcomes compared to any single player in other team sports. An ace pitcher can suppress scoring dramatically, while a struggling starter can inflate run totals. Always check confirmed starters before placing any baseball bet.
The run line is baseball’s version of a point spread, almost always set at 1.5 runs. Betting a favourite at -1.5 means they need to win by 2 or more runs. Betting an underdog at +1.5 means they can lose by 1 run and your bet still wins. It offers better odds than the moneyline for favourites.
Yes, significantly. Stadiums like Coors Field in Denver are well known for inflating scoring due to altitude, while pitcher-friendly parks like Oracle Park in San Francisco tend to suppress runs. Our analysts always factor in park dimensions, altitude, and weather conditions when assessing over/under bets.
Yes, all of our baseball tips are completely free. We publish MLB picks daily throughout the season, including spring training and postseason, with full reasoning, best available odds, and bookmaker recommendations at no cost.
