All statistics cited on FreeTips must be sourced from at least one primary or reputable secondary source. Primary sources include: official league and competition databases (Premier League, UEFA, FIFA, etc.); official club communications; regulatory filings; and official statistics providers. Secondary sources include established sports data providers such as Opta, StatsBomb, WhoScored, and SofaScore. We indicate the source of statistics where space allows.
For historical records, we cross-reference at least two independent sources before publication. Where sources disagree, we note the discrepancy and cite the most authoritative source, or we do not publish the claim until resolved.
Odds cited in articles and tips reflect market prices at the time of writing, which are noted in each article. Odds change rapidly and may no longer be available by the time you read an article. FreeTips editors check odds against multiple bookmakers at time of publication. We do not artificially inflate or manipulate odds in editorial copy.
Our Odds Converter tool uses standard mathematical formulas for converting between decimal, fractional, American, and implied probability formats. The formulas are publicly documented and can be independently verified.
Team news cited in tips is sourced from official club communications, verified media briefings, and reputable sports journalism outlets. We note the date and time that team news was last verified in each tips article. We cannot guarantee accuracy of team news after the time of publication as it can change rapidly — always verify with an up-to-date news source before placing a bet.
All licensing claims in our bookmaker reviews are verified against the UK Gambling Commission's public register of licensed operators, available at gamblingcommission.gov.uk. Welcome offer terms are taken directly from the bookmaker's promotional pages and verified at time of publication. We note the date of verification and recommend readers check directly with the bookmaker for current terms.
