The principles that guide every FreeTips analyst, writer, and editor — transparency, integrity, and reader-first journalism.
We publish only what we believe to be true, based on diligent research and verification. We do not knowingly publish false information. When we are uncertain, we say so. When we make mistakes, we correct them promptly and transparently.
Our analysts base tips on publicly available data and their professional analysis. No tip is guaranteed to win — sports outcomes are inherently uncertain, and we communicate this clearly. We do not make unverified claims about tipster win rates or ROI without robust underlying data.
FreeTips editorial content is independent of commercial pressures. Our writers and analysts do not accept gifts, hospitality, or benefits from bookmakers beyond that which is necessary for product testing (free accounts, reviewed materials). No editorial decision is made based on the financial interests of FreeTips' commercial partners.
If a conflict of interest exists or could be perceived to exist, the affected writer must disclose it to the editorial team. Content affected by a potential conflict is reviewed by a senior editor with no conflict before publication.
FreeTips analysts must not use, seek out, or profit from insider information — information not available to the general public about match outcomes, team selections, or any other sporting matter. Any analyst found to have used insider information will be immediately removed and the matter referred to the relevant sporting authority if required.
We do not have relationships with players, coaches, or club officials that involve the exchange of non-public information. Tips are based exclusively on publicly available data.
We are transparent about how we make money (see our Affiliate Disclosure), how we research tips (see our Editorial Policies), how we fact-check content (see our Fact-Checking Standards), and how we handle errors (see our Corrections Policy).
We do not hide our commercial relationships or present affiliate links as unbiased recommendations without disclosure. All promotional content is clearly labelled. Our tip performance records are published honestly — including losing streaks — without cherry-picking periods of success.
We recognise that gambling can cause serious harm. We take our platform's influence seriously and are committed to promoting responsible gambling. We do not encourage excessive gambling, glorify winning streaks as typical, or downplay the risks of betting. Our Responsible Gambling page is prominent and links to free help services on every page.
We do not target or produce content designed to appeal to minors. We do not publish content that exploits vulnerable people or circumstances.
We hold ourselves accountable to our readers, our sources, and to the standards of ethical journalism. Concerns about our editorial conduct can be raised via our Complaints Policy. Serious complaints are escalated to senior editorial leadership. We do not retaliate against anyone who raises a legitimate concern in good faith.
