How we research, write, and publish betting tips and sports content — independently and transparently.
FreeTips editorial content is produced independently of our commercial relationships. Bookmakers who advertise on the Site or who we have affiliate agreements with have no editorial influence over our tips, predictions, or reviews. A bookmaker cannot pay to appear in our "Best Betting Sites" list — inclusion is based solely on our editorial assessment.
Our editorial team and commercial team operate separately. No individual writer is informed of commission rates for specific bookmakers. Tips are never adjusted to favour bookmakers with whom we have agreements.
All affiliate relationships are disclosed on our Affiliate Disclosure page and in contextual notices throughout the Site.
Our tips are produced by a team of experienced sports analysts with specialist knowledge in their respective sports. Every tip is based on a combination of: statistical analysis using public data sources; team news and injury reports from official club communications and reputable sports news agencies; historical form and head-to-head records; odds movement analysis across major bookmakers; and the analyst's expert judgement.
We do not use insider information. Our analysts do not have access to confidential team information, betting market data obtained through improper means, or any information not available to the general public. Any analyst suspected of using insider information is immediately suspended pending investigation.
We are committed to accuracy. When errors are found, we correct them promptly and transparently. Our full process for handling corrections is detailed on our Corrections Policy page. We never silently delete or alter published content — all material changes are noted with a correction notice and the date of amendment.
All bookmaker reviews on FreeTips are based on a standardised assessment framework covering: licensing and regulation; welcome bonus value and fairness of terms; payment methods and withdrawal speed; odds quality and market coverage; mobile app and website usability; customer service quality; and responsible gambling tools. Review scores are assigned by the editorial team and updated at least annually.
We accept free accounts from bookmakers for testing purposes, but we do not accept payment for positive reviews. Accounts are returned or closed after testing is complete.
Paid promotional content or sponsored articles are clearly labelled as "Sponsored", "Advertisement", or "Promoted" at the top of the page. They are visually distinct from editorial content. Sponsored content is subject to our editorial standards but represents the views of the sponsor, not the FreeTips editorial team.
Promo codes and welcome offers highlighted on the Site are commercially selected based on offer value and bookmaker quality. They are not editorial endorsements of specific bookmakers over others.
